Deutsches Turnfest 2013

For the opening of Deutsches Turnfest in Mannheim, the park around the water tower was to be staged with a spectacular presentation. In addition to acrobatics, dance, singing and a fire show, a monumental video mapping in interaction with vertical dancers was to be the highlight of the event.

Together with Ralf Buron and battleROYAL, PONG.Li developed the visual concept of the projection on behalf of proevent. The vertical acrobats of battleRoyal were to act as integrated elements in the projection. A journey is told, the acrobats flying over mountains, rivers and lakes and land towards the end in a staging of all participating city names. The final event is a colorful collage of all sports.

The proevent concept staged the water tower as the crowning finish of the opening event.
