CyberForum e.V. hired PONG.Li to design a unique projection mapping sculpture for the event space of the new #smartproductionpark in the eastern part of Karlsruhe.
The PixelWave sculpture is made of bevelled wooden cubes arranged into a wave-like structure. Three EPSON projectors are used to illuminate the sculpture to create a dynamic, immersive and visually stunning experience.
The wooden cubes are attached to a cement wall in the event space and positioned to form a perfect wave structure covering the entire wall. Our projection picks up on the pixelated wave form of the sculpture and combines light with visual effects.
By using projection mapping technology, the boundaries between art, technology and reality become blurred. The sculpture will not only appeal to the eye, but also arouse interest in technology and take the audience on a journey into an immersive world.
The visual content was created in Touchdesigner.
